How to make or add a addon domain in cPanel

The “Addon Domains” features allow you to use multiple domains with a single hosting account. If you have one hosting and few domains, you can use all with the one hosting account. Let’s see how to do it.

Prerequires: Set nameservers of the hosting to the domain (s) which you want to add as addon domain (s).
If you do not know the nameserver of the hosting account, you can check whois data of your primary domain for nameservers. Or, you can ask your hosting provider for nameservers.

After changing nameservers, follow the steps below:

  1. Login to cPanel
  2. Type “Addon Domains” in the search bar of cPanel and click on the “Addon Domains” icon.
  3. From the “Create an Addon Domain” section, type your domain name in the “New Domain Name” field. Do not need to modify the data of “Subdomain” and “Document Root” field.
  4. Click on the “Add Domain” button.

Congratulations! The domain is connected to the hosting. It will be live in a few minutes.
